Dear Brass
Band Enthusiast,
The
Capital City Brass Band (CCBB)
is again
hard at work in our 10th Anniversary Season, 2010-2011. We hope you will be
able to attend and enjoy more of the musical entertainment that the band is
presenting during this special year of celebration.
Thank you
for for you continued support. We all
extend you our warmest Holiday greeting!
We have an
exciting winter and spring planned. On Tuesday, February 15, 2011, CCBB will
be performing in a joint concert with the Mid-Michigan Youth Orchestra at
East Lansing High School at 7 PM. As we continue into spring, the band will
be preparing for its first ever national contest. CCBB will compete in the
North American Brass Band Association 2011 Contest on Saturday, April 9,
2011. We have then been invited to perform at the Association of Concert
Bands Convention. This performance is on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 in
Muskegon, Michigan. Our spring season culminates with a 10th Anniversary
Gala Concert Celebration back at East Lansing High School on the weekend of
May 21st, 2011. Watch for more details on our web site.
We provide
a variety of musical entertainment throughout the year. Needless to say,
this kind of activity requires funds for music, instruments, concert hall
rentals and other miscellaneous expenses. In order to sustain this level of
community participation, we need help from you. Your contribution is tax
deductible and your name will appear in all our concert programs for the
coming year. Make your contribution while it can still be applied to your
2010 taxes.
We are
looking for sponsors for individual chairs . Please consider sponsoring a
chair or two and enjoy recognition throughout our concert season. Perhaps
you would like to sponsor our Principal Flugelhorn chair or our conductor.
The sponsorship levels are as follows:
¨ Conductor
$150. or more
¨ Principal
Chairs $60. or more
¨ Supporting
Chairs $35. or more
We
appreciate previous contributions and hope that you will be able to help the
Capital City Brass Band continues a ten year tradition of providing
outstanding musical programs for our mid-Michigan community.
Sincerely,
Melanie
Stiehl

of the Board of Directors
