March 14: Motor City Festival of Bands

Motor City Brass Band (MCBB), a metro Detroit British-style brass band, will present a concert of community bands entitled Motor City Festival of Bands. The festivities will take place on Sunday, March 14 at 3 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (FCPAC) in Dearborn.  The Capital City Brass Band will be part of this performance which will include a massed band consisting of about 270 musicians from the five participating bands.  The massed band will be conducted by Leonard Slatkin, Music Director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
