The Capital City Brass Band (CCBB) is an all-volunteer brass and percussion ensemble inspired by the traditional British-style brass band. The band was organized in January 2001. Members of the CCBB come from across Mid-Michigan and represent a cross section of the community at large. The band has performed at venues across the state of Michigan for a variety of audiences. In 2011 the CCBB competed at the 2011 North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) Championships in Grand Rapids, MI and were named 3 rd Section winners. Members of the band have competed and placed in competitions like NABBA throughout the years. Today the band continues to challenge itself musically and grow through each performance opportunity.
